Oscillatory Reactions

A 'synthetic' mechanism with a 'cubic' autocatalysis step. Two intermediates which occur
in very low concentrations show oscillatory behaviour which is now well understood, see
e.g. Peter Gray & Stephen K. Scott, Chemical Oscillations and Instabilities, Clarenden
Press, Oxford, 1990.

An animation of the "Belousov-Zhabotinski" reaction by a cellular automaton with
'hopo.exe'. It has been programmed by Peter M. Schumacher after an article in Scientific American, title "The HodgePodge machine".
