Oscillatory Reactions


A 'synthetic' mechanism with a 'cubic' autocatalysis step. Two intermediates which occur in very low concentrations show oscillatory behaviour which is now well understood, see e.g. Peter Gray & Stephen K. Scott, Chemical Oscillations and Instabilities, Clarenden Press, Oxford, 1990.
